The Homeschooled Project
"The Homeschooled Project", created by artist and single mother Sarah Sudhoff, thoughtfully explores mothering and highlights invisible labor through the creation of a community-driven photographic archive and large-scale installation. This online visual database aims to collaborate directly with the community through the collection of donated images of children learning at home and the strategies families employed to keep everything in motion.
We do not yet know the long-term effects this pandemic has had on how mothers care for children, for their families while balancing wage labor, domestic duties, and homeschooling under increasing uncertainty brought forth by the pandemic.
"The Homeschooled Project" aims to make visible the invisible, remind us of this time and our collective histories, and create space for meaningful conversations exploring the role of the community in supporting families during disasters.
